We’re Hiring: Design Assistant Position

ABH Interiors is a high-end residential and commercial interior design firm based in San Francisco, California. We are seeking a Design Assistant. Compensation will be $25-$40/hour or a salary of $60,000-70,000 depending on experience.

The Design Assistant is responsible for the following actions:

-Design Related:

· assist in sourcing furniture options for projects

· create drawings in CAD and/or 3D programs such as Rhino

· create presentations for client meetings

-Project Management Related:

· request samples and quotes from vendors

· confirm item details such as dimensions and finish options with vendors

· enter item information into Studio Designer software

· create purchase orders and submit to vendors

· make payments to vendors for purchases

· coordinate and track shipping, delivery and installation of items

· create installation-day schedule

· manage claims for damaged or incorrect items

· provide regular summary of status updates for all items in motion 

The Design Assistant should have the following abilities:

· extreme attention to detail

· proactive problem-solving skills

· excellent written and verbal communication skills

· strong coordination and logistics skills

Time and Location:

· full-time is preferred, but part-time will be considered

· San Francisco / Bay Area is preferred, but remote locations will be considered

Desired Experience:

· minimum of two years at an interior design firm or school

· knowledge of Studio Designer, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, and Photoshop a plus
